Young in the City Episode 5
What to wear on a City Break
Easter time is upon us which means it’s a perfect time to grab your passports and hit a different city.
In this Episode Emma CB creates two outfits… One outfit suitable for travelling, avoiding being all uncomfortable but still looking stylish.
The Second outfit is how you can bring style while walking around the tourist hotspots, how you can layer up keeping warm without looking like a couch potato.
We all hate getting a wedgie, jeans digging and that god awful chill when travelling, trust me if I could get away with wearing my PJs I would… but c’mon you might bump into your Prince Charming so can’t run the risk!
The Leopard print Trousers are a great stand out piece, they are baggy with thick material which means they keep you warm and comfortable on your journeys.
The only colour top you can wear with these sort of trousers is black, we don’t want a fashion police moment do we now?!
It’s cool to go for a motive black top or plain, anything to suit your mood or personality.
H&M have an awesome new collection at the moment, a rock Grudge section, everything pretty much black and goth like, perfect when you want to find a different style but black jacket.
Bags are essential when travelling, to keep all you requirements close to you. I bought this bag from a boutique in Hertfordshire, it resembles a designer bag for pennies of the price.
Shoes are a from Primark cheap as chips but don’t be phased by the price. Sometimes you think cheap shoes means they will rub… But don’t worry these are super comfortable having a tiny wedge gives added cushion.
One might mistake me for Russian but I’m in love with this outfit!
The Black fur head band is perfect to keep your ears warm, fur makes the outfit look expensive and elegant. (But Hence the Russian look)!
A Large scarf/ Poncho is perfect to wrap around you to keep you warm against the breeze of a big City… I picked this one up from TKMAX. There are so many different places to find the large poncho scarfs, including Vintage shops or even second-hand ( Thrift shops)
The colours really strong so it will make you stand out from the crowd.
If the Poncho isn’t warm enough, trying wearing a black leather jacket or coat for insulation.
Trying to keep the colours to a minimum I have opted for these high-waisted super stretchy black jeans.
The jeans won’t fall down when walking and the elastic means walking will be a doodle and comfortable.
Last but not least, try wearing Shoes with a slight wedge, it will save the balls off your feet so your feet can keep on walking. These Wedge boots are from KurtGeiger… Great Style and Quality!
